191 Days To Go!

Dear family,

As you go through the wedding details, you may notice that we are inviting many of you to join us a few days before the formal wedding functions begin.

There is a reason for that.

For us, this celebration is not meant to be only about one wedding day. It is also a rare and deeply meaningful opportunity to bring the family together — across cities, countries, generations, branches, memories, and time.

No matter how you trace your connection with the Patel family in Indore — whether through the lineage of Late Shri Apabhai Chhotabhai Patel of Sojitra, Late Shri Ratilalbhai Fulabhai Patel of Nadiad, Late Shri Jasbhai Dahyabhai Patel of Odh, or through any other branch, relationship, memory, or bond — the fact that you are receiving this invitation means something very simple:

We think of you as one of our own.

Your presence at this occasion would mean the world to us.

This is one of the most important celebrations in our family in nearly two decades. The granddaughter of Late Shri Bhaskarbhai Patel and daughter of Late Shri Nikhilbhai Patel is about to embark on the next phase of her life, and what we seek most from you is your presence, your blessings, your love, and your support.

Weddings often pass in a blur. People arrive, attend the functions, take photographs, meet briefly, and leave before anyone has truly had the chance to reconnect.

This time, we want to do things differently.

From 21 December onward, we hope to create a warm, relaxed, and memorable lead-up to the wedding — with family time, food, outings, shopping, games, music, conversations, and moments that allow everyone to feel part of something larger than just an event.

We want these days to become a chance to reconnect with the family tree we all belong to.

~ A chance to meet relatives we may have only heard of.

~ A chance for our children to see where they come from.

~ A chance to introduce our current families to the people, stories, relationships, and roots that shaped who we are.

~ A chance to relive old memories, create new ones, and remind ourselves that family is not only about how we are related — it is also about how we show up for one another.

Expect Gujarati warmth, endless chai and nashto, festive meals, local experiences, laughter, music, and a few thoughtfully planned moments that help us all reconnect.

The formal wedding functions begin from 26 December, with Mehndi and Vidhi on 27 December, and the wedding on 28 December. But the spirit of the celebration begins earlier — with all of us coming together.

So if you can, come early.

Come for the wedding, but stay for the stories, the laughter, the food, the memories, the blessings, and the people who make this celebration truly meaningful.

With love,

The Family
